Al Clark, CPA, MBA is a partner in the firm where he focuses principally on the construction industry as well as professional and other high income / high net worth individuals. He is a member of The Georgia Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs, as well as several construction organizations including AGC, CFMA, ABC, AECA, IECA, and GUCA.
Al is the past Chairman for the National Tax and Legislative Affairs Committee of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA); a member of other CFMA national committees; a prior board member of the CFMA Georgia chapter; member of the National Financial Issues Forum of AGC of America; a past board member and past treasurer of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC)–Georgia chapter; a board member and past president of American Subcontractors Association–Georgia chapter; and a member of the Atlanta Tax Forum.
He has authored the 500+ page “Federal Income Tax Answers for the Construction Financial Professional” for CFMA; a co-author of the CFMA Revenue Recognition Course; developer of the CFMA Guide to State Lax Laws; author, author and presenter of Accounting and Financial Reporting in the Construction Industry; and a frequent writer and presenter of construction tax and accounting courses and presentations for many local and national professional trade groups.
He is a frequent author for national construction related publications. He is the recipient of the CFMA Chairman’s Award for 2016
Jeffrey W. Woolums, CPA is a Partner with Smith, Adcock and Company and has over 35 years of public accounting experience. He has extensive experience in corporate accounting, auditing, and financial reporting, with a concentration in the construction industry. He also has extensive experience in tax planning and compliance for individuals, businesses, trusts, and estates. He has performed audit engagements of general contractors and subcontractors in the areas of commercial, heavy, and highway construction. He has also performed numerous audits of other types of entities, including automobile dealerships, city governments, and employee benefit plans.
Jeff is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs, the American Institute of CPAs, Associated Builders and Contractors, Associated General Contractors of America, and the Georgia Surety Association.
Jeff graduated cum laude from Clayton State University in June 1989. Starting with the firm in July 1989, Jeff’s entire career has been with Smith, Adcock and Company. He was admitted to the firm as a Partner in January 2004.
Jeff enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and volunteering at his church.

James joined the firm in 1998 after first working for a manufacturing company and then a local Atlanta CPA firm. James provides tax advisory and compliance services to closely held businesses and their owners including numerous restaurant, real estate, and construction entities.
James graduated from Augusta State University with a B.B.A. Degree in Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Georgia Society of CPAs.
James is an active member in the Associated General Contractors – Georgia, Associated Builders and Contractors of Georgia, and Surety Association of Georgia. He enjoys golf, wing shooting, and spending time with family.

Barry began his career in public accounting with a mid-sized firm in Atlanta, Georgia in 1997. In 2008, Barry joined Smith Adcock and Company as Tax Manager.
Barry’s experience includes providing tax planning and preparation services for high wealth individuals, tax exempt organizations, and a diverse group of privately held entities which include construction contractors, retail, wholesale distribution, and service organizations.
Barry earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Georgia Southern University and his Master of Business Administration degree from Georgia State University. Barry is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Georgia Society of CPAs.

Heather Mannion began her career with Smith, Adcock and Company in 2002. She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Auburn University. Heather has substantial experience in the preparation, review, and management of both audit and tax engagements. During her career with the firm, she has been extensively involved in corporate, partnership, individual, and estate taxation. Heather’s experience spans a number of industries, with an emphasis in the construction industry.
Heather is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Georgia Society of CPAs, the Georgia Surety Association, and the National Association of Women in Construction.
Heather currently resides in her hometown of Athens, Alabama with her husband and son. She enjoys travelling and spending time with her family and friends.

Lee is a manager at Smith, Adcock and Company, LLP and has over 25 years of experience in public accounting and over 12 years’ experience in industry. Lee is responsible for planning, supervising, reviewing, and preparing financial statement reports for audit, review, and compilation engagements. While performing attestation engagements, Lee has developed comprehensive knowledge in a variety of industries, including construction, distribution, service, manufacturing, and employee benefit plans.
Lee lives in Woodstock with his wife, Rhonda, and has two grown children, Rob and Laura and two grandkids, Jackson and Harper. He has been involved in coaching youth basketball, baseball, and soccer over the years. In his spare time now, Lee enjoys watching sports and playing pickleball.
Lee is a graduate of the GSCPA Leadership Academy and past member of the Leadership Academy Alumni Task Force. Lee is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA), and Board member of the GSCPA North Perimeter Chapter.
Lee received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Franklin & Marshall College and his MBA in Professional Accounting from Rutgers University Graduate School of Management. Upon graduation Lee was admitted to the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.

Tommy has extensive experience in accounting, auditing, and financial reporting. He works primarily with closely held companies and their management. His experience includes assisting a diverse group of clients including construction contractors, manufacturers, wholesale distributors, service organizations, and not for profit entities.
Tommy graduated magna cum laude from Troy State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Georgia Society of CPAs.
Tommy lives in Newnan with his wife, Stephanie, and their children, Maggie and Will.
Tommy joined Smith Adcock and Company in January 2015. Prior to joining the firm, Tommy held managerial positions in private industry and with other public accounting firms.

Before joining the firm in 2016, she worked at local public accounting firms providing accounting, auditing, and financial reporting services to non-public business entities, tax-exempt organizations, and employee benefit plans. She also prepared business and personal tax returns.

Prior working at Smith Adcock and Company, Jayshri worked as a Chartered Accountant in public and private accounting firms in India. In 2005, Jayshri joined a mid-sized firm in Atlanta, GA and earned her CPA certificate in 2007.

Elizabeth Hladik, MAFM, MBA is a Senior Associate with Smith, Adcock, and Company. She joined the firm in 2023.
Beth is a graduate of National Louis University with a Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration and Keller Graduate School of Management where she earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Financial Management. She has over 13 years of experience in complex federal and multi-state income tax returns for high net-worth individuals and small or large businesses, tax research, tax planning, fiduciary, non-profit, and employee benefit plan returns. Beth also has significant experience in Bookkeeping, payroll, tax advisory, preparing and reviewing various corporate, partnership, individual, trust, estate, non-profit, and employee benefit plan returns. Beth is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor and can assist with setup, maintenance, cleanup, conversion, and troubleshooting of desktop and online QuickBooks files. Beth has extensive knowledge of all industries with specialized knowledge of health and dental entities. Beth is currently pursuing her CPA license in Georgia.
Beth moved to Georgia in 2019 from Illinois. Beth lives in Marietta with her husband, Lee. They have two dogs, Tank and Bella. They also collectively have three children Robert, Timothy, and Hannah as well as one grandchild, Greyson.
Beth is a 10-year Navy Veteran, and her husband is a Deputy with the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office. In their free time they enjoy traveling, home improvement, and spending time with family and friends.
Beth loves to volunteer her time and is a member of Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) she volunteers her time standing in silent flag lines and other ceremonial activities for the funerals of veterans to “stand for those who once stood for us”. She also volunteers at the local VA hospital, her church, and animal shelters as time permits.
