HISTORY

The firm was established in 1948 by Harold E. Smith, with James R. Adcock joining later to guide the initial growth of the firm and the successful transition to the next generation of leadership.

Expertise at the Atlanta office ranges from traditional tax management and accounting services to more extensive services such as audits, reviews, and compilations of financial statements with a strong focus in the construction industry. We have been a staple of Atlanta’s business and financial community for over sixty years, and pride ourselves on the level of esteem we have earned during that time.

In 1988, the firm established its second office in Athens, Georgia to offer many of the same tax compliance and advisory services. The Athens office specializes in serving small businesses and their owners, not-for-profit organizations, farms, and complex individuals. We put an emphasis on communication and being accessible to our clients, making our advice and expertise easy to hear and to implement. Athens is thriving, and our firm is pleased to be a part of the Athens community.
